For this assignment, students will be asked to create an annotated bibliography (Discovery Project) with 6-8 sources pertaining to a social justice topic of their choice. If Monday 2/12 doesn't work for you, I can also do Wednesday 2/14.
What skills do you expect the Librarian to teach during the session?:
Defining/narrowing a Topic, Brainstorming sources of information, Search strategy/infoseeking, Evaluating Sources, Bibliographic/Citation assistance, Evaluating and reflecting on the Research Process
What is the topic students will be searching?:
Students will be examining a variety of social justice topics of their choosing. In the past students have looked at gun violence, workplace discrimination, systemic racism in schools, etc.

What do you want students to be able to do by the end of the session? (Desired Learning Outcomes):
I am hoping the students will find at least 2-3 sources for their Discovery Projects and begin their annotations by the end of this class session.
