What citation style are you asking your students to use?:
Chicago is recommended, but students may use any of the three.

What skills do you expect the Librarian to teach during the session?:
Brainstorming sources of information, Search strategy/infoseeking, Evaluating Sources

What is the topic students will be searching?:
US history 1877-2015, any topic

Please provide a copy of your course's syllabus.:
us%20history%20since%201877%20working%20syllabus.pdf

What do you want students to be able to do by the end of the session? (Desired Learning Outcomes):
Find sources of academic research (Blume Library, ILL, Google Scholar), think about how specifically to integrate them into a topic, and don't use AI for any part of the process. The two problems I've had in the past are students just doing random Google searches and/or making a bibliography without actually integrating anything from the sources into the paper.
